Tis the season to start Feising!
Feis San Fransciso is now open for registration at FeisInfo.com. The Feis will take place February 18-19, 2012 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco. The deadline to register and pay without late fees is Sunday, January 22, 2012.
The Pacific Northwest Championships is now open for registration at FeisWorx.com. The Feis will take place March 3-4, 2012 at the Hilton, Seattle Airport. The deadline to register and pay without late fees is February 17, 2012.
The McBride School encourages all our dancers to support both the local and out of area Feisanna as often as possible. Happy Feising to All!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful time at the 2011 Western Region Oireachtas in Anaheim! It was the first Oireachtas for some, and we hope it was a great experience for you! The McBride School had a very successful Oireachtas!

It’s almost Here! The Oireachtas is 2 weeks away. Are you ready? An email was sent today to all McBride Dancers competing in the Oireachtas with pertinent information and the competition Schedule. Please let us know if you did not receive it. You can also click HERE to acces the schedule from the Western Region’s website.
In all the frenzy and preparation to get ready, dont lose sight of what the Oireachtas is all about. Yes, it is about dancing, recalling, Worlds and Nationals. But it is also about having FUN with your friends and Dance School. It is about meeting other dancers and making new friends in other Dance Schools. It is most importantly, a wonderful celebration of Irish Culture and doing something you love to do – DANCE! Dance like no one is watching and let your feet and your heart SOAR! Good Luck to all the McBride Dancers heading out to the 2011 Western Region Oireachtas in Anaheim. Rock and Reel!

Gaelic Storm will be performing at the Great American Music Hall on November 2, 2011. Gaelic Storm is one of the most popular Irish Bands out today, and many of you may recall them from the Ceile scene in “Titanic”. The East Bay Feis is pleased to announce that it will be awarding three new Perpetual Trophies this year: the Martin Butler Memorial, the Mary Curtin Memorial and the Bridget O’Malley Horan Memorial Perpetual Trophies. The trophies will be awarded to the winners of the U8, U10 and U12 Open Book 8-Hand Competitions. These trophies join the Martha and Alan Clark and the Kathleen Curtin McIver Memorial Perpetual Trophies, which are awarded to winners of the U15 and 15/O Open Book 8-Hand Competitions. Good Luck to all the Schools and Teams entered this year!
