"The McBride School of Irish Dancing and East Bay Feis are registered members of An Coimisiun le Rince Gaelacha, the North American Irish Dance Teachers Association, the Western US Region Irish Dance Teacher's Association and registered with the North American Feis Commission. As members of these organizations, all rules governing the Feis are subject to the prevailing authority. The East Bay Feis
would like to kindly remind all teachers, dancers and parents
that the following rules will be actively enforced throughout
the Feis: (Please contact
your teacher if in doubt of what "traditional" irish
dance). Note, the Feis committee is required to turn away
dancers from collecting awards on stage if dancers is not dressed
in traditional costume (please make sure dresses are completely
on and zipped for girls). Registered with

| Driving Directions to the Oakland Marriott/City Center **Click here for Reservations at Oakland Marriott/City Center Website** FROM OAKLAND AIRPORT/SAN JOSE OR HAYWARD: Take I-880 North. Take the Downtown Oakland/Broadway Exit. Turn Right on Broadway. The hotel is located at 1001 Broadway, between 10th and 11th Streets. For parking, turn left onto 10th Street, right on Clay Street and right onto 11th Streets. The self-parking entrance is on 11th street. FROM THE EAST BAY, WALNUT CREEK OR CONCORD: Drive west on Highway 24 through the Caldecott Tunnel for approximately three miles to I-980. Follow the signs to Downtown Oakland. Take 11th/12th Street exit. Continue one block and turn left at 11th Street. Continue on 11th for four blocks to self-parking entrance. FROM SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT: Take I-101 North to San Francisco. Continue through San Francisco following signs to the Bay Bridge, Continue east on the Bay Bridge and once off the bridge stay to your right and follow signs for I-980/Downtown Oakland. Take the 11th/12th Street exit. Continue one block and turn left at 11th Street. Continue on 11th for four blocks to self-parking entrance. FROM SACRAMENTO, BERKELEY OR MARIN COUNTY: Drive west on I-80 to I-580 to I-980. Follow signs to Downtown Oakland. Take the 11th/12th Street exit. Continue one block and turn left at 11th Street. Continue on 11th for four blocks to self-parking entrance. FROM LIVERMORE OR PLEASANTON: Drive west on I-580 to I-980 west. Follow signs to Downtown Oakland. Take the 11th/12th Street exit. Continue one block and turn left at 11th Street. Continue on 11th for four blocks to self-parking entrance. IF RIDING BART from the Oakland Airport: Take the Oakland Air Bart Shuttle ($2.00 exact change required) from the Airport, which leaves the Baggage claim area every 20 minutes, to the Coliseum Bart Station. At the Bart Station, take the Richmond Bart ($1.10) to the 12th Street City Center Station. Take the 11th Street Steps from the Bart Station and you will come out facing the Hotel. From San Francisco Airport: Take the San Trans 3X Bus ($1.00) which operates to the Bart Colma Station weekdays until 11:30 p.m. (9:30 pm Sat/7:30 p.m. Sun). Take the Richmond or Pittsburg/Bay Point Train ($2.85) to 12th Street City Center Station. Take the 11th Street Steps from the Bart Station and you will come out facing the Hotel. |
