Ann McBride, ADCRG
Ann McBride began dancing at a young age under the tutelage of Peggy O'Neill in Glasgow, Scotland. After immigrating to the United States, Ann continued her dancing with Maureen McTeggert Hall, and the McTeggert School. Maureen trained and encouraged Ann to pursue her TCRG and ADCRG credentials, which she received in 1967 and 1975, respectively. Among her other credentials, Ann has received her BG Certification as a Grade Examiner. Ann is a founding member of the Western U.S. Region, and has also served as President and Vice President. In 2019, Ann was awarded the prestigious Gradam Award by An Coimisium for her contributions to Irish Dance and Irish Culture.
Ann founded the McBride School in 1967, and the school has been going strong ever since. She has been training dancers in all levels of dancing, from brand new beginners to World Qualifying champions for over 50 years. In addition, Annie has trained many new TCRGs in the Bay Area and across the Country, including her own daughter, Eileen McBride Parker. |
Eileen McBride - Parker, TCRG
Eileen McBride-Parker began her dancing career at the age of 4, and continued to dance competitively until she successfully sat for and received her TCRG accreditation in 1997. Since then, Eileen has been Co-Director of the McBride School of Irish Dance, and along with Ann McBride, she instructs the McBride Championship dancers and teams. Together, they continue to guide and instruct dancers throughout the Bay Area.
Eileen truly enjoys teaching her students, and finds their dedication, drive and dancing achievements very rewarding. Under Eileen's instruction, the McBride School has had many dancers, teams, dramas and choreographies successfully compete at the Western Region Oireachtas, the North American Irish Dance Championships, the All-Irelands, and World Irish Dance Championships. Whether they are entertaining or competing Eileen is very proud that her students always give 110% each and every time they step out on the stage to dance. |
