Competition can be an enjoyable and exciting part of the Irish Dance experience. For those who choose to compete, our instructors strive to promote a healthy spirit of teamwork and support between our dancers, both in the studio and on the stage. As our dancers progress in their skills, they will be given opportunities to compete at the local, regional, national and international level.
Opportunities are also available for all MSID Dancers to participate in shows and performances, where a dancer can also gain the confidence and recognition that comes from performing in front of an appreciative audience. However, dancers are not required to perform or compete if they choose not to. Dancing just for fun can be its own reward!

Competition and Performance
The McBride School Welcomes
New Dancers
The McBride School offers beginner through championship classes for all ages (including adults in select locations). New students are always welcome and we are glad that you are considering joining our Dance Family. Our home studio is located in Dublin, California, but we also offer classes in Oakland, Livermore, Lafayette, Concord, San Rafael and Vallejo. Please see our Class Location pages for additional class information.
Whether for competition or recreational dancing, the McBride School offers an Irish Dance program that develops each dancer to their full potential as they gain confidence, poise and self-discipline. As dancers progress, they are challenged to do their best while improving their skills, technique, and knowledge. However, we recognize that each dancer is unique, and our caring instructors encourage our dancers to develop their individual talents in a supportive and respectful atmosphere.
