Class Attire
In order to ensure the quality of your dancer's lessons, we will be implenting a class uniform in the fall, which will be enforced for all students. The class attire will consist of a McBride t-shirt and black shorts. We are currently researching the best pricing in order to ensure that any class uniform will be a reasonable expense for our families. In the meantime, we ask that the dancers use the following guidelines for class attire/uniform.
GIRLS:
Girls are required to wear a t-shirt, shorts and white poodle socks. The t-shirts should not be too baggy or loose, as this makes it difficult for the instructors to observe and correct any posture problems. The t-shirts worn to class should not be imprinted with any lewd, obscene, or any otherwise unacceptable pictures or words. In the summer months, tank tops are permitted but they must be decent and not falling off the shoulders.
Shorts should be of an athletic or cheerleader style. They should not be too short and cotton is preferred as it is less restrictive. Jean shorts are not allowed.
Long hair should be neatly tied and pulled back from the fact. If your hair is short, but still long enough to get in your face, please wear a headband or hair clips to secure your hair away from your face.
Girls should wear poodle socks with their dance shoes and the socks must be fitted. Wearing socks that are too big can cause blisters and irritate the feet. All socks must be clean and in good condition. Please do not roll down your poodle socks.
BOYS:
Boys should also arrive in a t-shirt, but should not be too loose or baggy. Loose or baggy shirts will keep the instructor from observing and correcting any posture problems a dancer may have. The t-shirts worn to class should not be imprinted with any lewd or obscene, or otherwise unacceptable pictures or words. Tanks are also permitted for boys in the summer months, but they must be fitted and not falling off the shoulders.
Boys should arrive in shorts. The shorts should not be too long (above the knee) so as to not restrict leg movement. Jean shorts are not allowed.
Any males that have long hair must also secure it away from their face.
Boys should wear fitted clean socks as well.
WINTER MONTHS: During the winter, all dancers are allowed, and encouraged to wear sweat shirts and pants, track suits, etc over their dance clothing to dance class. Dancers are not allowed to wear jeans. As the dancers begin to warm up, they may remove their outerwear.
The above dress code will be enforced for the safety and well being of all our students at all our locations. A dress code helps to ensure the quality of the lessons received and, ultimately, the safety of the dancers.
