April 30, 1994 - It was 20 years ago today that Riverdance ignited a World Wide Love Affair with Irish Dance. A cultural activity that had never ventured too far outside Ireland, or where Irish immigrants made their homes (UK, Austrailia/New Zealand and North America), Irish Dance has truly evolved into a World Wide Community. Just Imagine what the next 20 years will bring! Watch the original Riverdance production below from the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, where it was conceived as an interval act and instead became one of the most successful stage shows of all time, travelling worldwide and introducing millions to Irish Dance.
